The Read Road Project by Carlotta Cardana & Danielle SeeWalker
at Bedford Gallery, Museo del Paesaggio, Cortona on The Move
Since 2015, Fonderia 20.9 has collaborated on The Red Road Project, a traveling exhibition by Carlotta Cardana & Danielle SeeWalker, exploring Native American identity and resilience. We managed design, production, and installation for multiple exhibitions, including the comprehensive solo show at Villa Giulia in 2019, commissioned by the Museo del Paesaggio. Our role included exhibit design, print production, catalog development, and logistical support.
This project examines the modern relationship between Native Americans and their land, portraying the enduring ties to culture and identity. Featuring approximately 70 works, including photography and archival imagery, The Red Road Project documents resilience across diverse Native communities and addresses historical events like the legacy of boarding schools.
