VAP – Visiting Artist Program
A.eccetera, Exploring Memory with Aminta Pierri
- When:
- Where: Fonderia 20.9, Verona (IT)
The Visiting Artist Program (VAP) at Fonderia 20.9 offers visual artists a one-week residency in Verona to develop and showcase in-progress research within a gallery setting, fostering public engagement and experimental practice. For this first edition the featured artist was Aminta Pierri, whose work-in-progress, A.eccetera, investigates memory’s influence on perception through the medium of photography.
Her approach treats the photographic image as an imprint, revealing an "atemporal memory" that highlights the gap between form and its representation. During her residency, Pierri experimented with this concept, guiding visitors through evolving installations and concluding with Epilogo, a public encounter for discussing her layered, philosophical practice.
